Keynote Speakers

Dr. Anne Hunt
Currently CEO for the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom and Head of Evidence for The National Academy for Social Prescribing. Pointing out one of her professional activities, Anne Hunt worked with Natural England and its strategic partners and helped building collaborations of researchers, policy makers and practitioners who together developed, funded and delivered large scale demonstration projects (such as the UK Government's Children and Nature Programme) and developed new national measures for children’s contact and connectedness with nature.
Dr. Anne Hunt will present her Keynote under the title: “Supporting happy, healthy learners: re-thinking education and harnessing the power of social prescribing.”

Prof. em. Dr. Gerhard Trommer
Children‘s Nature - outdoor emphasized
Professor for Didactics of Bioscience at Goethe University Frankfurt (1993-2005). Artist, Biologist, Environment Educator with focus on Wilderness (Ecology, History, Educational Mediation, Protection). Moreover, he has written and published numerous books as an expert in the field of outdoor education.

Prof. Svantje Schumann
Experiences of nature as processes of discovery in the mode of leisure
Professor for Didactics of General Studies at University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (since 2019). Forestry scientist with focus on Nature, Technology, (Early) Education.

Susanne Jasilek and Ruth Sapsed
The practice of artscaping and what can happen when artists, professionals, schools, families and volunteers co-create art in nature experiences together
Artist Susanne Jasilek and creative producer Ruth Sapsed are founding members of Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI), a UK based arts and well-being charity registered in 2007. They have worked together on developing CCI and in particular the artscapers programme, building research partnerships in particular with the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education at University College London, Goldsmiths University and Bath Spa University. And also advocacy partnerships with Fullscope, a consortium of charities with a shared mission to improve the mental health and well-being of young people in the east of england, and the All Party Parliamentary Group for Art, Craft and Design in Education.
